spring...1ST BDAY...fall

Watching Declan grow up has been like watching my favorite movie in fast forward.  I just want it to slow down so that I can remember every cute face, every new uttering, and get one more hug out of this little nugget.  His older brother and sisters eat him up just as much...getting him to sit still for a book or movie is the tricky part.  But as long as they are helping him do something he wants, he's all thiers!!

Lots of fun appearances to make at school field days...girls would be sooo disappointed if I didn't come :)

Warm rainy days are a Costley kid favorite--think waterpark!

Sporting the Great Britain colors at the embassy.

Did I sleep in a closet like Harry Potter?  Why yes...yes I did!  Graf thinks it's pretty cool!

Ryan stepped out of her soccer game for a second, grabbed me and said "He's just so cute!"

Back together with some past Michigan homies--I place I never knew, but look at all these friends!

"All done" was one of my first phrases I could say.

MY SPECIALTY!  At 9 months old I figured out how to stack blocks...future engineer?  The focus, coordination, and patience this took was well beyond my years ;)

Sooooo proud of myself--I knew it was amazing without anybody telling me!

Lots of "dirty" pictures of me that just don't do the mess justice.

As long as we can eat through the grocery store, we're good to go.  As long as Mom is not in a hurry, we have such a fun time hanging out in the cart.

FRUIT FRUIT FRUIT!!!!  I can't get enough FRUIT!!

All 5 of us on the same swing at CLEMYJONTRY park--one wild ride!!

Awwww....tender!!

Outer Banks and eating sand...they just go hand in hand!

4th of July parade...marking the 1 year anniversary of Mom starting to have contractions.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!  I'M ONE YEAR OLD!!

My first words are "dad dad, all done, and hi."  My first fancy two syllable word is "cookie!"

At my one year check up, Ryan, Izzy, and Graf came.  The whole time I was getting checked in my birthday suit, they just kept saying how cute I was and cooing.  97% in height, 50% in weight and head circumference.

For my birthday we got to go see Aunt Jenny and Uncle David in their new home in North Carolina.  Balloons, Bubbles, Presents, Pizza, Blue cookies on a stick, and cousins!  What more could I ask for?

Getting to drive is a pretty good 1 year gift as well :)
Blueberry picking?  Sure!  Great fun!
Lorin...my bestie!

Idaho with Uncle Lane's horses

Idaho--wearing me out!

Bear Lake!

"My name is Jaunito Bandito!!"

Cousin Kate and I are very close in age--rug rats extreme!

My first ride at Lagoon with Izzy.
Uncle Bry, me, Case, Zoey, and Graf on the Lagoon Zoo safari train.

Corn dogs...mmm...good!

After Great Grandma's funeral we payed the old garage a visit.  Great Grandma will be missed--one of the sweetest to ever live.
Hey Grandpa Kofoed...I made it to the Caldwell Night Rodeo!!  He is most surely smiling down from above :)

Treats with Grandma K

Aunt Traci putting up with me!  Helps that I'm soooo cute!

I'm the little one in the back...not realizing how awesome it is to have cousins yet.  Izzy, Ry, Graf, Lincoln, Donavan, Aunt Ali and Lorin.

Great Grandma Walker--I owe a lot of traditions and general happiness to this lady right here!

Babas make me happy everywhere I go!

Check out my new haircut in my new home back in Virginia...now in Reston rather than Great Falls.

hahahhahahah!  A daddy well-loved!

I put tomatoes in the fruit category...LOVE!

We got to ride this river boat up the river, through a man-made lock, and we were pulled by a mule!!  Just like the olden days.

My most favorite place to be!!

Frying Pan Farm with Levi, Graf, and Caleb

Picking apples in beautiful Virginia!

I get to be part of the apple-sauce making process!!

GO BLUE!!  Though I never made an appearance in Michigan, I still bleed Maze and Blue for my daddy.

Mom was gone for 5 whole days helping Grandma K when she had her stroke.  Boy was I happy to have her back!  She missed me the most ;)

PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES -- A HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR!

You can't tell very well in this, but I got really good at rolling my eyes back into my head and cracking everybody up with it.
SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS TO DO AS A BUDDING YEAR-AND-A-HALF OLD:  Saying "Ta-Da" non-stop--it always makes people stop and wonder what amazing thing I'm doing.  But if they don't say it back to me I get a little frustrated and try again until they do!!

I also have learned from mom that when I say "ewww-gross" at my dirty diaper that it cracks her up!

Saying "duh-duh-duhhhhhh!" with perfect voice inflection for a scary part in a good movie--also a specialty!

I'm starting to understand everything!  One day I heard mom ask if Graf if he wanted to watch a movie.  Out of nowhere, I said "yeah." and ran to the couch while beckoning Graf to come and sit by me with a cute wrist and finger bending action.  Boy am I a smarty!!
